On November 21-23, Centropa Germany and the Jewish Museum of Galicia co-organized a transnational teacher seminar in Krakow for 25 educators from Serbia, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Ukraine and Croatia.
The three-day seminar included a keynote lecture on Jewish women in Polish history by Prof. Edyta Gawron, hands-on workshops with Centropa films and with our permanent exhibition „10 Polish cities. 10 Jewish stories“ , a guided tour of the student exhibition "Gizela Fudem - one speaking for many“, and several walking tours through Krakow where participants learned more about the lives of two Centropa interviewees from Krakow, Tosia Silberring and Emilia Leibel.
These impressions paved the way for the local commemoration event, as well as historical reflection workshops on historical knowledge and memory.
