In March 2026, university students with backgrounds in pedagogy, history, and Holocaust studies participated in two educational workshops organized within the IMAGINE project.
On March 6, the first session introduced students to Centropa’s methodology and educational resources, including oral history interviews, photographs, and films. Through film screenings, visual analysis, and group work, participants explored personal narratives of Holocaust survivors, focusing on the biographies of Erzsébet Bársony and Judit Kinszki to begin designing new lesson plans.
On March 13, activities continued with a thematic focus on women’s experiences and perspectives in history. Students explored the significance of female narratives in historical representation before working collaboratively to create exhibition posters, which included selecting archival photographs, writing introductory texts, and structuring visual narratives.
In Hungary, the IMAGINE project is carried out by Centropa, resulting in the successful creation of two new lesson plans and an exhibition poster to modernize history education.
