In October, students from Vilnius University’s Faculty of Communication participated in two educational workshops organized within the IMAGINE project.
On October 8, the session at the Paneriai Memorial introduced students to the history of Lithuanian Jews and the tragedies of Paneriai. Through group work, discussions, and a visit to the memorial’s monuments, participants explored personal stories connected to this site.
On October 22, activities continued in Vilnius Old Town with the workshop “Vilnius Old Town Tells the Stories of Its Jewish Residents.” Students attended lectures on Jewish life in Vilnius, the Holocaust, and the Vilnius Ghetto, followed by a guided tour of the former Jewish quarter, tracing the lives of Fania Brancovskaja and Marija Rolnikaitė.
In Lithuania, the IMAGINE project is carried out by the Secretariat of the International Commission in cooperation with Vilnius University’s Faculty of Communication.
